Plumber Keilor Park

In February 2024, Debbie discovered that there was no hot water coming from the taps in her home. Upon inspecting her hot water unit (HWU) outside, she found her old Aquamax storage HWU leaking water. Recognising the problem, Debbie isolated the leaking HWU by shutting the duo valve to the closed position. This stopped the leak almost immediately, but it also meant that she no longer had hot water and needed a new unit.

This was Debbie’s first time needing a tradesman in an emergency, so she didn’t know what to expect or who to call. She decided to rely on modern word-of-mouth recommendations and searched online for “emergency plumbing in my area.”

O’Shea Plumbing has been serving Melbourne for over 45 years with a client-focused approach from the beginning. With numerous positive reviews online, Debbie decided to see if the reputation matched the reality and called the office for a hot water plumber to attend.

That same day, the office dispatched one of our plumbers, Luke, to assess the HWU and consult with Debbie. Unsure whether to opt for a gas or electric unit, Debbie appreciated Luke’s presentation of various HWU options. They discussed the pros and cons of each choice in detail. Despite the thorough consultation, Debbie remained undecided and wanted to get advice from her trusted friends and family. Luke and Debbie shook hands and agreed to revisit the decision later.

The following morning, Debbie called the office to proceed with one of the options discussed. A deposit was taken, the job was approved, and the office informed Luke to arrange the necessary materials. That day, O’Shea Plumbing sent a plumber to install the new HWU.

Debbie was thrilled with the service and delighted to have hot water again after just two days without it. (If Debbie had known which HWU she wanted during the initial visit, the installation could have been completed that day.)

By May 2024, Debbie discovered that her roof was leaking whenever it rained. This time, she knew exactly who to call for roof repairs in Melbourne. She contacted the O’Shea office, and Callum was arranged to inspect the issue.

Callum identified multiple problems requiring significant repairs to make the roof watertight. He provided Debbie with various options and recommended proceeding as soon as possible. The necessary work was organised and began within two days of the deposit being paid.

During the repairs, it was found that some electrical wires needed to be adjusted and moved out of the way. Debbie inquired if we knew any reliable electricians, and fortunately, we do – through our sister company, O’Shea Electrical. Bailey, one of their electricians, attended the site, addressed the electrical issue, and resolved it.

Debbie also took the opportunity to discuss additional electrical work, such as new lights. Bailey provided options and recommendations for the prospective lighting installation works.

After the roof repairs were completed, Debbie was so impressed with all the tradespeople involved that she felt compelled to write a review detailing her experience with the O’Shea team.

Below is the review that Debbie left on Google (Google Maps, type in O’Shea Plumbing, click on the review tab).
