Glen was looking for a plumber and was unfortunately let down by a few different companies who stated they would attend the site and quote to repair the Hot Water Unit (HWU), then not even a phone call to say they couldn’t make it. Enough was enough, Glen reached out to O’Shea Plumbing after reading some recent reviews.
Mandy, one of the O’Shea Plumbing admin team, answered Glen’s phone call and organised a hot water plumber to attend that afternoon to look at the HWU.
Callum arrived shortly after noon, making a positive first impression with his punctuality. He and Glen discussed the issue with the hot water unit (HWU) and Glen’s plumbing aspirations. Callum provided valuable information about the various types of HWUs available on the market, educating Glen about his current 18-year-old gas storage HWU. This unit was leaking water when turned on (Glen had shut off the water mains to prevent further leakage).
As a first step, Callum shut off the duo valve (cold water isolation at the HWU) and restored water flow from the mains to ensure Glen still had access to cold water. Glen requested several options for resolving the issue, prompting Callum to excuse himself to research. About half an hour later, Callum and Glen reviewed the options available, with Glen opting to upgrade to a Rinnai B26 HWU.
Callum procured the necessary materials and commenced the replacement process. During this time, he also arranged for an electrician from O’Shea Electrical to install an outdoor power point for the new unit, completing the task before Callum had finished installing the HWU.
Impressed, Glen remarked on the rarity of a plumbing company fulfilling their promises (such as arriving on time) and appreciated the time Callum spent informing him of the options available, enabling him to make the best decision for his family.
Disappointed by previous experiences with plumbing companies, Glen contacted O’Shea Plumbing’s office at 10am. From this initial phone call, he experienced a significant improvement. By the end of the day, Glen had a superior hot water unit installed. He expressed his satisfaction, confirming that O’Shea Plumbing and Electrical would be his ‘go-to’ for all his future plumbing or electrical requirements.
