We recently engaged the services of O’Shea Plumbing for a complex sewer and drain issue, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish.

Upon responding to my initial email enquiry, Steve, the company director, dedicated several hours of his time when he personally came over to assess our situation in detail. Our weatherboard house is situated on quite reactive soil, and I wanted a new solution involving in ground swivel and expansion joints to help mitigate future sewer line issues due to ground movement. While other plumbers I had reached out prior weren’t responsive to the idea, Steve had the experience, knowledge, and willingness to implement the ideal engineering fix to our situation and gave us complete confidence in moving forward. It was clear from the outset that Steve was committed to delivering thoughtful, thorough, and long-lasting solution. While any work of this nature would require a major investment, the costing was actually very competitive, and Steve was accommodating to help us undertake the project within our budget.

To the plumbers tasked with delivering the outcome, Christian and Marcus arrived promptly each day and conducted themselves with the utmost professionalism. They worked efficiently and with great care, ensuring each stage was completed to the highest standard. The boys worked tirelessly in very challenging conditions, from excavating almost 3 metres deep to replace our boundary trap, to spending several days under our house in tight and dusty conditions building a brand-new drainage system for the entire house. Throughout the process, they were respectful of our property, always friendly with our two young and very inquisitive boys and kept us informed every step of the way with lots of photos of the work as it progressed. A very big and sincere thank you to both Marcus and Christian, as well as Mickey helping on site and Mark in the office for promptly communicating with me throughout the process.

The combination of Steve’s expert guidance and the skilled execution by Christian and Marcus made what could have been a very stressful situation feel entirely manageable. While this project is now complete, I’m happy to have found O’Shea plumbing to help with us with ongoing works as part of our house renovations.

We just moved into a new house and couldn’t get our gas stove to work. We called o’Shea plumbing and they organised to come straight way the next day. Scott and Lucas were very professional and really knowledgeable and helped us to solve the gas problem. They were patient and genuinely very helpful and I would highly recommend their services to anyone. Also they are also electricians so will be able to help with lights and electricity issues also.

Dave (the superstar kiwi) and his team of plumbers at O’Shea Plumbing did a great job at our place. We discovered a gas leak at our 1960s home late on a Friday afternoon. Dave came around promptly and put together a solution and quote for the services very quickly. We decided to replace our hot water system at the same time. This wasn’t the easiest job given that the team had to work 3 floors up! We were out of gas (so no hot water or cook top/oven) with a 6 week old baby for several days so O’Shea bumped us to the top of the priority list and got the works done quickly. Their customer service is second to none. Every employee is wonderful to deal with. The team even organised some top soil to fill up some divots left by the boom lift. You don’t often find that level of consideration from tradies. We’ll definitely use O’Shea Plumbing again.
We’ve also used O’Shea Electrical to install our AC system. Also a great experience!

I had extensive plumbing works over many days to fix my stormwater, including new gutters and downpipes, new inground pipes, and replumbing of garage roof. I was kept informed of dates and times, and what would be done with written quotes. All plumbers were polite, informed and have done great work (no more leaks or floods and all water drains along my new pipes.) They also cleaned up after themselves!

Quoted over $1500 for installation of a gas bbq, including new pipework, altering the existing foundation, etc. In the end it only required a very simple attachment change, about $5 in materials and 5 minutes of labour. The plumber inspected my house and was visually evaluating the place before deciding on how much work was needed and how much to charge. They made a 10 minute phone call at the site, far away so I couldnt hear, while I waited outside. Very folksy customer service hiding pretenses. This is either gross overquoting or profession incompetence in evaluation. Get multiple quotes like the other reviews mention. If they ask if you've got other quotes the answer is always no.

This was two years ago but it's still in my mind and so now you've got a negative review for the waste of time.

Jarrod, assisted by George, replaced a sink mixer with a new model. Jarrod completed the work competently and in a professional manner and left the work site clean. Both men were pleasant and helpful.

Dealt with a lovely Receptionist named Ashleigh she helped me with any queries I had and was able to resolve them for me very easy and friendly to talk too. 100% ask for Ashleigh if you use O’Shea plumbing

Daniel is very professional, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. We have an issue with shower leak. Daniel came to give us a quote and also completed the shower leak investigation. He clearly explained what he was doing and why he did those tests. Once the issue was detected, he did one more test to make sure the leak was really from the shower wall. Excellent job. Had our gas hot water system serviced. Duncan is a top bloke, knows what he’s talking about, doesn’t mess you around, gets the job done. What else could you ask for really.

Also he and the fellow who did the quote both came to the door with shoe slippers in hand so kept my wood floor clean which I think probably no company has ever done before.

Cannot recommend highly enough. Callum came out to fix what looked like a roof leak, only to find major structural defects on the roof. Then he came back a second day with his boss, prepared a Roof Inspection Report and (rather than trying to keep the job) talked me through the process of making a complaint to the VBA about the original plumbing work. Having dealt with a few plumbers recently, have to say O'Shea have been by far the most trustworthy and reliable.

Absolutely nothing to fault with the team. Daniel Carfora was clear and patient fielding all my queries and fully transparent with all the quotes he put out. Not once I felt I was imposing from all the asking.
Scott, Brenton and DK were efficient on the day of works. Genuinely friendly and mindful of us having our shoes off in our house, they took them off whenever they are inside (even though we did not request for them to). More importantly, they left no (literally zero) mess behind. Not even a piece of packaging.
I don’t know if they are the most competitive in pricing within the market but they are certainly one of the few trades team I am at ease with them working on our house.

Adrian arrived promptly to give us a quote for the installation of 2 outdoor taps and worked out an efficient solution to complicated problem. Sean K did great work, assisted later in the afternoon by Sam and Brodie, and it was all completed efficiently in a day. They also cleared up nicely when they had finished. Callum arrived right at the start of the 2 hour time block. Quoted me for a pressure-limiting valve job, and got to work once I agreed to the price. The job done was exceptional despite the convoluted setup of my water meter. Will definitely recommend to friends, family, and other lot owners on the property.

We had a plugged sewer pipe which was in fact caused by a 2.5m long mesh of roots in the south east water sewer. Richard cleaned up, took photos of the roots and wrote the email to the water company which initiated a response ant the removal of the roots within the following 2 days.

I had an excellent experience with O'Shea guys (Brenton, Jett and others) who came around to install an agi pipe system around my house.
It was a big job that included a bunch of different things and I live quite far away from Central Melbourne so I really appreciated that the guys were there 5 days straight starting from 7am.
Overall I highly recommend O'Shea for big jobs like and I would def engage them again in the future!

Daniel came to give us a quote regarding a leak in our garage. He was also very helpful in taking a look at our water pump and getting it to work again. He was very approachable and patient in explaining things.

The company is highly professional, responding promptly to my enquiries and working with me and my water supplier to meet my requirements for separate water metering. From the first contact with Anne over the phone who was extremely helpful it just got better and better.
We discovered a leak and we’re concerned it was going to be a big job with water gushing from the front of our house.
When we asked Anne on the phone what the call out fee was we were shocked when she told us there was no call out fee (amazing).
We were told that Dave would arrive between 12-2pm and then he even called to let us know he was on his way (another impressive and unexpected surprise).
Before Dave arrived we suspected the leak was coming from our neighbours property and spoke to her and so when Dave arrived (super friendly and on time) he checked out water pressure and gave us the great news that we didn’t have blockage/ leak.
Dave then went and checked our neighbours situation and discovered there was a back yard tap that had been left on and causing the water to leak down into our place.
The next amazing thing was that when our neighbour asked for the bill for his time and travel there was no charge!!!! 🤯❤️Because there was no repair there was no cost.
This level of service blows our mind and I am making sure every single local social media page and person I know hears about our experience and how well this company treats people. There is a reason why their google reviews are so good.. legit legends!

Had a wet spot in the garden near where the mains runs to the house. Asked to dig and look for a problem. Was told that that was an unlikely way to find the issue, was told it could be storm water or nations. They'd do a test, $1500 later no faults found.
I spent 45 minutes digging the hole by myself. Found the issue. The mains had a leak when the pipe was joined together.
Found another plumber to fix the issue for $200.
Incredibly annoyed at the time and money I wasted.

We engaged The Local Plumber company for issues with a leaking valve to our gas hot water system.

Regrettably the first plumber  ‘sabotaged’ our gas hot water system and surreptitiously shut down the gas, rendering us without hot water and leaving us with a quote of around $2500 for a new unit.

To get a second opinion,  we engaged O’Shea plumbing. Josh attended. He was very professional, polite, skilful, and an excellent communicator. Josh was able to restart our hot water system and change over the leaking valve for a few hundred dollars. Our gas hot water system was fine and didn’t require replacement

We highly recommend Josh for his honesty, integrity and his professionalism. And we recommend O’Shea plumbing. Booking a plumber via their call centre was a pleasant experience - good old fashion, friendly service. We would definitely use O’Shea plumbing again.

I had someone come out to look at some concerning noises my toilets were making. Everyone is so lovely, from the office team who called me back quickly after I'd made an online enquiry, and kept me up to date on when someone would arrive, to the plumber, who was incredibly thorough and professional. While the issue I had turned out to be nothing major, it's like night and day in terms of service I've received elsewhere. I will 100% be using them the next time something happens and recommending them to others as well! My massive thanks to the entire team.

Daniel was excellent. Communicated when he would arrive. Identified the problem quickly and was transparent and honest in case he made a mistake. But he was spot on and quickly fixed the issue causing the leak. He was also very polite and overall just a good bloke. Hope his boss rewards him in the future.

Very professional and genuine. I had a plumber come out to quote me for installations of 2 washing machines. And I had the job booked and paid deposit. But since it was a new build and appropriate plumbing wasn’t done in first place. I went to my builder, who then agreed to fix it for me. O’Shea offfice team was very considerate and cancelled the booking and refunded the deposit immediately. If I have any problems in future I know who I’ll be reaching out to.

Daniel came today to a blockage in our sewer pipe. He was friendly and efficient. He explained the procedure and quote very well and we went ahead straight away. He was careful bringing the equipment in and out of the house. After fixing the blockage he explained what the issue was and it's now flowing perfectly.

Telephone and plumbing service were friendly and efficient, and I was able to book an appointment 4 days in advance. Cost was reasonable and explained well. My shower taps were replaced immaculately and now work smoothly with no water leakage. I also appreciated the great communication from O’Shea Plumbing; I was given specific timeframes and contacted when earlier plumbing sessions were offered.

I had an instant hot water service pack it in on a Friday night (of course!). O’Shea were brilliant right from the initial call. Anne was sympathetic to the situation and very clear on next steps. Installer Chris arrived very quickly, and was fast, efficient, respectful of my home, and did a quality job. He also shuffled around other jobs on the other side of the city to ensure I was back with hot water as quickly as possible - midday Saturday. I’d definitely recommend these guys.

Our drains were severely blocked to the point the sewerage water was coming out of the shower drain. To make matters worse it happened on the weekend. We called multiple plumbers and none of them either answered or returned my call. Anne answered on our first call and was super lovely to deal with. She advised the plumber would be out within the hour and explained the payment process upfront. Within the hour Scott the plumber called and told us what time he’d be at ours. Paul arrived punctually and outlined clearly what the service to our heater entailed. He was efficient and communicated well with me about what he was doing, offering advice for the future maintenance of the heater. He was friendly and I felt confident that the job had been well done.

Andrew was quick, professional, polite and was able to quickly clear the toilet drainage line after our 4 year-old blocked it by flushing plastic cups down the line. Happy with Andrew. Not so happy with 4 year-old.

My hot water service died on the Friday night. Rang O'Shea's Plumbing on Sunday Morning. My call was answered immediately and the receptionist was very pleasant and empathetic. I organised for a plumber to come out on Monday morning between 10 and 12 and that my plumber would call 30 min before. I received a call that morning just after 9:30 from Cam. He was very friendly and advised he was on his way. On arrival, he was very friendly and genuine. He gave me an honest up front quote on the spot and fully explained what was required. He also advised that he needed to check my gas metre and gas lines which may cost extra if there were leaks detected. (Thankfully all good). He provided a number of options and choices with good pricing. Most importantly he was able to do the works that day. Payment was easy with EFTPOS available, 20% deposit and balance on completion of the job. Finally his work was neat and tidy and all rubbish removed and he fully explained hot to check and relight the pilot. Very happy. Would recommend O'Shea's Plumbing and will use them again.

Adam detected and competently fixed our roof plumbing issues, explaining the issues and our repair options very well. We were confident about his honesty and the quality of his work. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Excellent Service. Had leaky toilet and they came out and fixed the next day. Damian rang me in advance, came over and gave me a quote, fixed and gave me a detailed explanation of what was done. Problem solved! Did a neat job of siliconing toilet back in. There is no call out fee if you choose not to proceed with work quoted.

After the big storms last week had Adam come and do an investigation. Very thorough and helpful. Didn’t try and push unnecessary work on us. It was great to have trades people turn up when they say they will and their communication was excellent. Very pleased with the end result and their follow up is great.
